Информация об утечке номеров телефона, адресов электронной почты и проживания появилась на сайте Vice. Издание утверждает, что хакеры намерены использовать данные для SIM-свопинга.
CEO биржи, Кол Даймонд, сообщил, что такой пакет информации мог похитить бывший сотрудник компании еще 1,5 года назад, имея доступ к CRM-системе. Сразу после обнаружения утечки данных, компания обратилась в правоохранительные органы, поскольку с тех пор компания лишена возможности выгружать данные из системы.
Пока нет точной цифры клиентов, подверженных опасности. Полиция до этого момента устанавливает точное число пострадавших от кибератаки. Сам же сотрудник, по мнению руководства, пытается навредить репутации биржи, а реальной угрозы для пользователей нет.
