Компания Nvidia закроет офис в России до конца октября 2022 года. Причина — «невозможность обеспечить эффективную работу сотрудников». Об этом сообщает издание Forbes.
На данный момент компания вывозит на чартерных самолетах работников, согласившихся на релокацию в другие страны. С теми, кто окажется от переезда, техгигант расторгнет контракт по соглашению сторон с выходным пособием.
До начала полномасштабной войны, которую РФ начала в Украине, в российском офисе числилось около 300 человек, на данный момент осталось 240 — в основном инженеры.
Информацию о вывозе сотрудников чартерными самолетами сотрудники Nvidia не комментируют, но подтверждают, что о закрытии российского офиса компания объявила 30 сентября.
Напомним, в марте техгигант приостановил продажу продуктов в РФ.
Этим летом Nvidia прекратила продлевать российским компаниям новые лицензии на программное обеспечение для облачного гейминга. Тогда источники «Коммерсанта» сообщили, что это может усложнить работу суперкомпьютеров «Яндекса», «Сбербанка» и «МТС», использующих ускорители A100 та DGX-2.
Среди санкций, которые повлияли — предписание от Министерства торговли США, запрещающее экспорт ИИ-чипов в Китай и Россию компаниям Nvidia и AMD.
