Компания PayPal планирует покупку поставщика инфраструктуры для хранения криптовалют Curv. Такую информацию сообщает CoinDesk, ссылаясь на израильское издание Calcalist.
«Ранее PayPal осуществил несколько крупных приобретений, по типу Venmo. На данный момент компания намерена владеть чем-то связанным с криптовалютой», — сказал один из знакомых с ситуацией источников.
По разным оценкам, сумма сделки, составляет от $200 млн до $500 млн.
По мнению другого источника, решение о покупке Curv компания приняла после прошлогоднего провала переговоров с кастодианом BitGo.
Напомним, в 2020 году Curv привлек $23 млн в ходе раунда финансирования Серии A от Commerzbank Group, Coinbase Ventures и Digital Currency Group.
А в феврале 2021 года компания PayPal сообщила, что не рассматривает возможность размещения резервов в первой криптовалюте.
