Базовый актив фонд – биткоин-фьючерсы на Чикагской товарной бирже (CME). Кроме того, в обновленном проспекте не упоминается об инвестициях в канадские биткоин-ETF.

Исходя из информации CoinDesk, встреча пяти комиссаров SEC по вопросу фонда от ProShares состоялась в пятницу, 15 октября. Но вывод об одобрении базируется на обновленном проспекте и истечении 75 дней, положенных для рассмотрения заявки. Технически, если ведомство не отклонило ее в срок, это означает разрешение, хотя публично Комиссия его не давала.

До этого издание Bloomberg сообщало, что SEC не планирует препятствовать запуску фьючерсных биткоин-ETF. В терминале компании также появилась соответствующая страница для фонда от ProShares под тикером BITO.
Со своей стороны Nasdaq также выразила готовность добавить в листинг аналогичный фонд Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF, который ранее подал форму 8-А о регистрации ценных бумаг. Такую же форму заполнил и ProShares.
