Функцию отправки донатов в биткоине создателям контента через функцию Tip Jar протестирует cоцсеть Twitter. Такую информацию сообщает MacRumors.
Сервис Tip Jar Twitter презентовал в мае 2021 года. С использованием этой функции можно отправить пользователям соцсети так называемые чаевые в качестве поощрения. Первоначально Tip Jar поддерживал платежи через Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal и Venmo.
На данный момент в в бета-версии биткоин недоступен для выбора, но такую возможность обнаружили в коде.
Исходя из информации, опубликованной в скриншоте разработчиком Алессандро Палуззи (Alessandro Paluzzi), для платежей через Tip Jar пользователям потребуется учетная запись в приложении Strike на базе Lightning Network.

Напомним, что в июне глава соцсети Джек Дорси предположил интеграцию Lightning Network в Twitter.
А со временем CEO анонсировал имплементацию биткоина в сервисы Twitter, включая Tip Jar, и назвал криптовалюту одной из трех ключевых тенденций, определяющих будущее соцсети.
