Компания Canaan сообщает об убытках в $5,6 млн. Стоимость майнингового оборудования снизили в несколько раз, из-за чего увеличилась и расходная часть компании.
Исходя из финансового отчета компании, спрос в первые месяцы этого года снизился в разы. Доход с января по апрель составляет $9,4 млн, что выше прошлогодних показателей на 44,6%. Но расходы превышают показатель в сумму $15 млн. Такие цифры появились из-за решения компании о снижении стоимости оборудования в два раза для увеличения объемов.
«Цена за майнеры в пересчете на TH/s была значительно снижена. Но это связано с нестабильной ситуацией на рынке с декабря 2019 года по январь 2020 года», — заявил руководитель компании Чжан Нангенг.
За первый квартал 2020 года Canaan продала оборудование на 0,9 млн TH/s, что составляет около 1% от текущего хешрейта биткоина. За прошлый год компания обнародовала данные о убытках на сумму $178 млн. Сразу после этого акции компании упали на 9%.
Руководство Canaan Creative не надется на большие доходы этом году, из-за пандемии коронавируса, что негативно повлияло на финансовые рынки, а также из-за халвинга многие майнеры все не включают свое оборудование и не покупают новое.
