Kraken планирует стать публичной через традиционное IPO или сделку по поглощению специализированной компании по целевым слияниям (SPAC). В своем Twitter это сообщил репортер Fox Business Чарльз Гаспарино.

По словам представителя биржи, для последнего варианта Kraken «слишком велика». До этого СМИ сообщили о планах биржи повысить свою рыночную оценку до $10 млрд благодаря привлечению дополнительного финансирования.
По данным сервиса CoinGecko, платформа сейчас на третьей позиции в рейтинге по суточным объемам торгов с показателем свыше $1,4 млрд. Сервис относит Kraken к биржам с наивысшим баллом доверия.
Ранее Комиссия по ценным бумагам и биржам США (SEC) одобрила заявку на прямой листинг акций крупнейшей американской биржи Coinbase. Разместить ценные бумаги компания планирует на Nasdaq.
