На своїй сторінці у твітері Роджерс навела дані Goldman Sachs, що біткоїн є «найприбутковішим активом світу за 2022 рік». За її словами, разом із колегами вона запропонувала низку законопроектів, серед яких — пропозиція зробити з криптовалюти платіжний засіб в Арізоні.
В разі ухвалення цього закону, криптовалюта отримає статус, аналогічний долару США. Жителі штату зможуть сплачувати податки та збори цифровим золотом.
Контекст. У січні 2022 року Роджерс вносила на розгляд аналогічний проєкт. Але його не підтримали, оскільки Конституція США не дозволяє окремим штатам створювати свій власний законний платіжний засіб.
