Это устройство было представлено на Международной выставке импортных товаров и услуг в Шанхае. Предположительно в такой способ местные власти готовятся к Олимпийским играм 2022 года в Пекине. Анонсируют, что именно в это время состоится международная презентация китайской CBDC.
На данный момент аппарат поддерживает 17 валют. Для конвертирования валюты пользователю необходимо ввести только паспортные данные.
Сейчас кошельки для цифрового юаня уже открыты у 140 млн человек, а объем транзакций в активе составил приблизительно 62 млрд CNY (~$9,7 млрд).
Напомним, в октябре торговля фьючерсами и другими криптодеривативами в материковом Китае была окончательно прекращена на базе биткоин-биржи Huobi. Это часть масштабного плана компании по сокращению операций в стране.
