Главный финансовый регулятор США Комиссия по ценным бумагам и биржам (SEC) продолжает укреплять целевую группу, занимающуюся проблемами криптовалютного рынка. Возглавить направление деятельности SEC, связанное с применением законов о ценных бумагах к «технологиям и инновациям в области цифровых активов», криптовалюты и первоначального предложения монет (ICO) поручено Валери Щепаник (Valerie Szczepanik).
Новый заместитель директора отдела финансов и старший советник по цифровым активам и инновациям представлена в официальном пресс-релизе SEC от 4 июня 2018 года. Председатель Комиссии Джей Клейтон отметил, что Щепаник продемонстрировала «…мастерство, опыт и осознание важности стимулирования инноваций при обеспечении защиты инвесторов». По мнению чиновника:
«Вал является правильным человеком для координации наших усилий в этой динамичной и рискованной области».
Валери Щепаник с самого начала массового развития криптовалюты и внедрения технологии блокчейн признавала необходимость регулирования отрасли. Вновь назначенная чиновница отметила, что будет активно участвовать в «…продвижении справедливых, упорядоченных и эффективных рынков и защите рядовых инвесторов».
Напомним, SEC проведет 13 июня в Атланте (Джорджия) конференцию SEC Investor Conference.
