Как сообщает Служба безопасности Украины (СБУ), сотрудниками была выявлена и приостановлена работа международной сети, помогавшей «конвертировать криптовалюту с сомнительным источником происхождения в наличные», говорится на сайте СБУ.
На сайте правоохранителей сказано, что группа переселенцев из ОРДЛО создала ряд интернет-ресурсов, которые позволяли пользователям из Украины и стран бывшего СНГ легализовать доходы через криптовалюты.
Зафиксировано, что обменник работал с 2017 по 2020 годы. Деньги выводили через обменные пункты, имеющие лицензии Нацбанка. В ходе расследования СБУ провело восемь обысков, в рамках которого изъяли наличные в разных валютах, банковские карты, оборудование и документы, доказывающие незаконную деятельность.
В СБУ проверяют информацию об использовании части обнаруженного оборудования при обслуживании клиентов в системе расчетов WebMоney. С 2018 года она заблокирована на территории Украины.
Напомним, что в июне украинской киберполицией была остановлена деятельность организаторов сетки онлайн-обменников, которые использовались для отмывания криптовалюты.
