Пользователь также отметила, что венесуэльские розничные торговые точки принимают платежи в dash, эфириуме, bitcoin cash (BCH) и litecoin (LTC). Кроме того, по ее словам, щедрые пожертвования в криптовалюте стали показателем «настоящей помощи» и «настоящего внедрения» цифровых валют.
Ранее CryptoGlobe сообщал, что объемы торговли биткоином на венесуэльской P2P-бирже LocalBitcoins существенно выросли. Это во многом объясняется растущей в стране инфляцией и экономическим кризисом.
Кроме того, правительство Венесуэлы запустило сберегательный план в Petro (PTR), который позволяет гражданам страны вкладывать свои деньги в национальную криптовалюту, якобы обеспеченную нефтью, и сохранять их с помощью сертификата.
