Вчера в Пекине анонсирован совместный проект Walmart China, Китайской ассоциации сетевых магазинов и франшиз (CCFA), PwC, Inner Mongolia Kerchin и VeChain целью которого станет создание платформы Walmart China Blockchain построенной на блокчейне VeChainThor. Объявление было сделано на мероприятиях по отслеживанию продуктов, проходящих в рамках Китайской недели безопасности продуктов 2019 года.
На первом этапе платформа уже сейчас начинает отслеживать 23 линии продуктов, а к концу года ожидается расширение контроля над 100 продуктовыми линиями из 10 категорий пищевых продуктов. Walmart China Blockchain будет отслеживать свежие мясные продукты, рис, грибы, растительное масло и другие товары. Контролироваться будет до 50% фасованного мяса, около 40% свежих фасованных овощей и до 12,5% морепродуктов от общего количества реализуемых сетью товаров.
Сканируя приобретаемые продукты, покупатель сможет получить подробную информацию, в том числе источник происхождения продуктов и его географическое местоположение, время поставки в Walmart, логистический процесс, отчет о проверке качества продукта и другую полезную информацию.
Блокчейн VeChain был запущен в работу около года назад, 30 июня 2018 года. Собственный токен VeChain (VET) котируется на Binance, Bithumb и KuCoin. После объявления о партнерстве с Walmart China цена токена выросла на 40% с 0,007 доллара до 0,0102 доллара, что позволило криптовалюте увеличить капитализацию до 0,5 млрд и прочно занять 29 место в табели о рангах CoinMarketCap.
