Новый свод правил распространяется на поставщиков криптовалютных услуг: биржи, советникии брокеры. Чтобы вести такой вид деятельности, необходимо пройти регистрацию в качестве поставщиков финансовых услуг.
Документ появился из-за растущего интереса к цифровым валютам, что подчеркнул регулятор. Также необходимо отметить, что представленный документ никак не влияет на статус криптоактивов в контексте других законов и не ставит своей целью их регулирование или легитимизацию.
«Проект постановления — это лишь временный шаг, на пути к полноценному регулированию с целью снижение определенных рисков, которые присущи криптоактивам», — заявили в FSCA.
По словам представителя регулятора, этот документ – необходимая деталь для внедрения других решений, которые рассматривает Рабочая группа по регулирования криптоактивов.
