Во вторник Birks заявила, что совместно с американской платежной платформой BitPay начинает использовать биткоин. Такое нововведение будет способствовать созданию «более быстрой, более простой и безопасной» процедуры покупки для клиентов.
В настоящее время платежи в биткоине разрешены в восьми магазинах группы (из 26 работающих в Канаде). Клиенты смогут, используя криптовалюту, купить изделия таких брендов, как Rolex, Bulgari, Cartier и Breitling.
