«Мы начнем строить ветеринарную клинику, используя прибыль от BTC. Отмечу, мы не продаем биткоин, а используем долларовую часть траста, поскольку хранимая на его балансе криптовалюта сейчас стоит больше, чем на момент создания», — пишет Букеле.
Как сообщалось ранее, в конце августа Комиссия по финансам Законодательной ассамблеи страны согласовала создание фонда на сумму $150 млн для обеспечения обмена биткоина и долларов.
Как говорит Букеле, в трасте возникла «бухгалтерская проблема». Из-за роста котировок биткоина в структуре возник профицит в размере $4 млн, которыми «управляющая фондом государственная компания Chivo» может распорядиться не влияя на его объем.
«На балансе [траста] хранятся биткоины и доллары США. За счет сохранения прежнего числа BTC, даже если количество USD уменьшится, мы можем инвестировать $4 млн в какой-то проект», — объяснил президент.
До этого государство приступило к майнингу первой криптовалюты на геотермальной вулканической энергии. Букеле отметил, что инженеры все еще тестируют и устанавливают оборудование.
