Появилась информация от разработчика Ethereum 2.0 Дэнни Райана о запуске депозитного контракта ETH2. В планах запустить Ethereum 2.0 в первой половине ноября. Основная причина отсрочки — отшлифовать возможные ошибки в криптографической библиотеке BLST на основе аудита фирмы NCC.
Благодаря депозитному контракту можно отправлять ETH из существующей сети в Ethereum 2.0, подтверждая полномочия стейкеров.
«Необходимо, чтобы библиотека обладала высокой степенью случайности для создания кошельков и была отлаженной для подписывания депозитов. Если будут проблемы, может возникнуть ошибка в запуске депозитного контракта. Это останавливающий фактор», — подчеркнул Райан.

Вероятнее всего запуск депозитного контракта Ethereum 2.0 состоится в начале или середине ноября в зависимости от результатов аудита. Сейчас команды работает над повышением надежности клиентов и занимается их аудитом, оптимизацией, «шлифовкой стартовых площадок» и т.д.
На момент написания статьи аудиторская компания Quantstamp не нашла критических моментов в клиенте Teku от Ethereum-студии Consensys. Специалисты дали гарантию, что ПО готово к переходу на ETH2.
