Одна из крупнейших индийских криптовалютных бирж Zebpay официально начала работу с «острова блокчейн» Мальты. Стартап Zebpay был основан в 2015 году и предоставлял гражданам Индии доступ к торговле виртуальными валютами и одноименному биткоин-кошельку.
Благодаря использованию нормативных правил KYC биржа стала очень популярной среди пользователей. К середине 2017 года количество загрузок торговой платформы на Android достигло полумиллиона, а к концу 2017 года количество клиентов увеличилось до одного миллиона. В последнее время на официальном ресурсе Zebpay указывается, что число пользователей достигло 3 млн. Биржа поддерживает работу с 20-ю криптовалютами и 22-мя торговыми парами.
28 сентября текущего года в связи с проблемами с банковским обслуживанием биржа приостановила работу в Индии, где она охватывала 60% пользователей, занятых в криптовалютной индустрии. Биржа будет использовать Мальту в качестве основы для захвата европейского рынка. Биржа ZFA Zebpay, запущенная на острове, будет управляться Мальтийской компанией Awlencan Innovations Malta. В процессе работы новая биржа будет использовать процедуру KYC и AML.
Напомним, финансовый регулятор Мальты Управление по финансовым услугам (MFSA) намерен защищать криптоиндустрию от мошенников и предотвратить использование экосистемы для отмывания денег и финансирования терроризма.
