Токены – это серия провокационных обложек. На первой надпись «Бог умер?» (дата публикации – 8 апреля 1966 года). Как говорят в самом издании – это был первый раз, когда издание TIME впервые использовало только текст, без изображения.
На втором номере – текст «Правда умерла?» (дата публикации – 3 апреля 2017 года) – спустя 2,5 месяца после инаугурации экс-президента США Дональда Трампа.
На третьей обложке текст «Фиат умер?». Обложка для этого выпуска была создана специально для аукциона. Ее авторы противопоставили криптовалюты фиатным деньгам. Для примера цифровых активов команда TIME использовали биткоин и Dogecoin.
«Импонирует то, что значение [«фиат»] непонятно обывателю, как и сумасшедший, прибыльный мир NFT», – сказал автор последней обложки TIME – Д. У. Пайн.
На данный момент максимальные ставки составиляют:
- «Бог умер?» — 10 ETH (около $16 730 по курсу на момент написания);
- «Правда умерла?» — 11 ETH (~$18 403);
- «Фиат умер?» — 22 ETH (~$36 806).
Кроме того, в день старта аукциона с NFT журнал TIME также открыл вакансию главного финансового директора (CFO). Требование к будущему топ-менеджеру – он должен разбираться в криптовалютной отрасли.
«Наблюдаем стремительную эволюцию в медиаиндустрии, и TIME ищет CFO, который сможет руководить этой трансформацией», — сказано в вакансии.
Среди других требований – более 7 лет опыта работы на руководящих должностях, степень MBA и готовность запускать новые продукты.
