Инвестиции привлекли посредством продажи конвертируемых облигаций компаниям-основателям и нескольким семейным офисам в ОАЭ.
О создании совместного предприятия для облачного вычисления на блокчейне было объявлено в сентябре 2019 года.
«W3BCLOUD – это децентрализованное решение нового поколения для вычисления и хранения данных», — указал CEO ConsenSys Джозеф Любин.
Также в компании объяснили, что для полномасштабного запуска необходимы устойчивые дата-центры, которые компании AMD и ConsenSys будут создавать.
По сути W3BCLOUD представляет собой облачную архитектуру для децентрализованных приложений. В рамках инициативы ConsenSys предоставит свои экспертные знания в сфере работы с блокчейн-решениями, а AMD станет поставщиком высокопроизводительных аппаратных технологий.
