21-летний компьютерный аналитик Керем Альбайрак (Kerem Albayrak) пытался шантажировать корпорацию Apple, вымогая у нее $150,000 в биткоинах около $1,045 в iTunes-ваучерах.
Как пишет Daily Mail, Альбайрак опубликовал на YouTube видео, на котором взламывает аккаунты iCloud и потребовал деньги за то, что не станет использовать украденную информацию. Вскоре хакер, живущий на севере Лондона, был арестован, и суд Вестминстерского магистрата предъявил одно обвинение в шантаже и два обвинения в незаконных попытках проникновения в компьютер.
Альбайрака выпутили под залог, и предварительные слушания состоятся 14 ноября в Королевском суде Саутворка.
