Знакомый с ситуацией источник утверждает, что в пятницу Algo Capital обратилась к вкладчикам. Представители компании пишут, что злоумышленники, возможно, получили доступ к горячему кошельку. Им управлял CTO Пабло Ябо. После инцидента он подал в отставку.
Компания пообещала в течение 20 месяцев компенсировать потерянное и обеспечить сохранность остальных средств. Основная часть денег хранится на холодном кошельке, поэтому они не стали добычей хакеров.
Ущерб от атаки составил $1 – 2 млн
CEO Algo Capital Дэвид Гарсиа, подтвердил, что имело место нарушение безопасности. Сеть блокчейн-проекта не была атакована. Источник сообщил, что Algorand была уведомлена о происшествии.
По словам Гарсиа, проблема взломов распространена в криптоотрасли. Algo Capital работает с рядом организаций и сервисов с области безопасности для того, чтобы её решить.
