Старейшая китайская криптовалютная биржа BTCChina заявляет, что не выпускала BTCC и отказывается от какой-либо связи с токенами. Представители компании также разъяснили, что BTCC не является аббревиатурой от BTCChina.
Опровержение вышло после сообщений новостных агентств о том, что первая и самая старая цифровая валютная биржа страны выпустила токен. Однако Ричард Чжу, юридический представитель BTCChina, заявил, что компания не выпускала и не планирует выпускать в ближайшее время никаких токенов:
«Токены ICO выпускаются криптовалютными компаниями для сбора средств для своих проектов. BTCChina не является стороной в проекте BTCC Token и не поддерживает токен».
BTCChina стала первой криптовалютной биржей, базирующейся в Китае, и функционировала с 2011 по 2017 год. Однако компания прекратила цифровые биржевые транзакции, начиная с 30 сентября 2017 года, после того как правительство Китая приняло решение о запрете криптовалютных операций.
По словам Чжу, BTCChina была частью компании BTCC Group, которая была приобретена инвестиционной компанией из Гонконга. Однако BTCChina не участвовала в сделке, поэтому биржа больше не связана с BTCC.
Напомним, 2 июня криптовалютная биржа BTCC заявила о возобновлении своего биржевого бизнеса. При этом компания объявила о выпуске собственных токенов. В объявлении указывается, что биржа будет торговать виртуальными валютами биткоин, эфириум, Bitcoin Cash и Litecoin в паре с долларом США.
