Запуск нового продукта стал возможен после приобретения ранее компании Kingdom Trust, специализирующейся на хранении традиционных финансовых активов. В данный момент регулятор еще должен одобрить проведение этой сделки, но BitGo уже осуществляет разработку технологий, имевшихся у приобретенной компании.
Глава компании BitGo Трейси Олсон заявил, что анонсируемый продукт охватывает весь спектр потребителей от рядовых до институциональных инвесторов и предоставляет три уровня обслуживания.
«Все больше крупных инвесторов интересуются криптовалютой. Однако есть и другой уровень клиентов – небольшие хедж-фонды, которые хотят обеспечить активам максимальную защиту и не отвечать за хранение цифровых ценностей».
Предоставляемые услуги делятся на три класса:
- «квалифицированное хранение», в котором BitGo предлагает безопасное хранение через Trust Kingdom;
- «институциональное хранение», которое позволяет клиентам управлять кошельками, подключенными и отключенными от Интернета;
- «самостоятельно управляемое хранение».
