Со слов рабочей группы, мотивация к исследованию CBDC усилилась, многие центробанки ведут соответствующую работу, а некоторые уже перешли к техническим тестам.
На данный момент исследователи оценили долю наличных платежей в Норвегии как, вероятно, самую низкую в мире.
«Наличие денег в системе имеет значение для сохранения и дальнейшего развития. Сейчас важно сохранить их в системе путем выпуска CBDC. Нам необходимы дополнительные знания, чтобы решить, целесообразен ли подобный шаг», — говорит председатель Norges Bank Эйстейн Олсен.
