Дуров ответил критикой на инициативу Банка России запретить майнинга и операций с криптовалютами на территории РФ. Он уверен, что это станет причиной для оттока из страны IT-специалистов и уничтожит высокотехнологичные отрасли.
«Подобный запрет навряд остановит недобросовестных игроков, но поставит крест на легальных российских проектах в этой сфере», — написал он.
Также он добавил, что запрет криптовалют неминуемо затормозит развитие более широкой отрасли блокчейн-технологий. И это при условии, что “Россия является одним из лидеров по числу высококлассных специалистов в этой сфере может стать крупным игроком новой экономики при условии «вдумчивого регулирования»”.
Напомним, что 20 января ЦБ РФ инициировал введение запрета на выпуск, обращение и обмен криптовалют, а также организацию подобных операций на территории России. По словам регулятора, эти цифровые активы (включая стейблкоины) претендуют на замену фиатных денег, но используются в первую очередь в нелегальной деятельности.
