По заявлению Комиссии по ценным бумагам Онтарио (OSC), у криптовалютной биржи Binance отсутствует лицензия. Таким образом ведомство отреагировало на недавнее объявление компании.
Дело в том, что 29 декабря платформа сообщила о сотрудничестве с регуляторами и возобновлении работы в регионе. Представители Binance подтвердили The Block подлинность заявления.
«Binance преподнесла сотрудникам OSC ситуацию так, что после 31 декабря 2021 года новых транзакций с участием жителей Онтарио осуществляться не будет», — сказано в пресс-релизе.
Со временем представитель Binance уточнил The Block, что «возникло недопонимание».
«Мы не встречались напрямую с Комиссией по ценным бумагам Онтарио по поводу наших намерений, что явно было ошибкой, которую мы исправляем», — подчеркнул он.
Напомним, в июне Binance предупредила, что не будет обслуживать пользователей из Онтарио и рекомендовала им закрыть все активные позиции до 31 декабря 2021 года.
