Финансовый надзор Великобритании временно остановил деятельность компании Wirecard Card Solutions. Вместе с тем, не работают карты Crypto.com.
Wirecard Card Solutions – это финансовое подразделение немецкой платежной системы-сервиса, выпускающего криптовалютные карты для гонконгских компаний Cryptopay, Crypto.com и TenX.
В четверг появилась информация о банкротстве компании Wirecard с биржевой стоимостью $28 млрд.
Сейчас задолженность компании перед кредиторами составляет: €3.5 млрд., в которые входит €500 млн биржевых облигаций.
Все началось после аудиторской проверки, в ходе которой обнаружилась недостача около $2 млрд. Вскоре был задержан генеральный директор Маркус Браун по подозрению в фальсификации информации насчет объема активов и доходности компании.
Генеральный директор компании Crypto.com, Крис Марсале, сообщил клиентам, что пользователи в Европе и Великобритании не смогут пополнять свои карты, выпущенные Wirecard, а также использовать их в дальнейшем. Также уверил владельцев карт о том, что деньги в безопасности, а команда работает над тем, чтобы вернуть средства на криптокошельки. Теперь фирма будет работать с другим эмитентом карт.
