В свете обесценивания местной валюты власти задумались об использовании в стране криптовалюты, которая стала бы более безопасным и стабильным платежным средством для граждан и компаний.
Как сообщил глава компании Cryptobuyer Хорхе Фариас (Jorge Farias), первый криптомат уже прибыл в страну.
Фариас, являющийся также одним из основателей PanaFintech – панамской компании, предлагающей обучающие курсы по «финансовым инновациям», завил: «Мы намерены установить первый криптовалютный АТМ в Венесуэле в течение следующих двух недель».
Он также рассказал, что биткоин-АТМ (BTM) уже физически установлен в Каракасе, его настройка находится на завершающей стадии, и Cryptobuyer официально объявит о начале его работы через социальные сети.
Cryptobuyer ранее установила пять BTM в Панама-сити, компания также выполняет роль торговой платформы, принимающей платежи в биткоине, litecoin (LTC) и dash (DASH).
Как сообщалось в мае 2018 года, на тот момент в мире насчитывалось 3,028 BTM. С того времени количество криптоматов существенно выросло, достигнув 4,195 BTM. Они размещены в 76 странах и управляются 526 организациями.
