Все услуги будут прекращены 18 сентября в 2:50 UTC. После этой даты клиенты больше не смогут входить в систему, а пополнение и снятие средств будут невозможны.
В заявлении CGEX указывается, что все персональные данные и записи, кроме тех, которые должны храниться согласно закону, будут уничтожены. Ранее было сообщено о временном прекращении работы биржи с 17 июля. Услуги по выводу денег все еще были доступны, но биржа посоветовала клиентам закрыть свои позиции, чтобы избежать возможных потерь. Также клиентов заверяли, что приостановка не будет окончательным прекращением обслуживания и платформа возобновит работу в третьем квартале.
Открытие биржи GCEX состоялось 28 октября 2018 года, и торговля была разрешена только в парах криптовалюта-криптовалюта. При этом все операции были связаны с торговыми платформами Coinone в Южной Корее и Индонезии.
Перевод бизнеса за рубеж был связан с ужесточением внутренней политики южнокорейского финансового регулятора. В настоящее время по данным CoinMarketCap, биржа Coinone занимает 63-е место в рейтинге бирж по скорректированному объему торговли, и находится на третьем месте среди бирж из Южной Кореи.
