Японский мессенджер LINE обнародовал планы запуска к концу 2018 года амбициозной экосистемы с применением токенов, сообщает CoinDesk. Новая платформа будет использовать анонсированную в конце августа криптовалюту LINK. Одним из решающих преимуществ повышающим эффективность запуска нового проекта является огромная пользовательская база мессенджера, которая составляет 160 млн активных клиентов в месяц.
Финансовая поддержка проекта в размере 10 млн долларов осуществляется через венчурный фонд. Технически использование токенов станет доступно через запущенную в июне криптовалютную биржу BITBOX, которая поддерживает 30 виртуальных валют, включая биткоин. Главная задача запускаемого проекта будет заключаться в разработке децентрализованных приложений или dApps, которые привязаны к блокчейн LINK.
Проект презентован 20 сентября на мероприятиях Consensus: Singapore. Разработчики из компании LINE заявили, что их основной задачей является создание максимально простой и доступной монеты и сопутствующих приложений для привлечения в индустрию миллионов пользователей.
Компания LINE надеется, что токен LINK будет служить основой для широкого круга приложений, ориентированных на потребителя, от платежей при посещении ресторана до обслуживания онлайн-контента.
