Споры о масштабировании уже в прошлом, на данный момент ключевыми моментами являются приватность и взаимозаменяемость. Поэтому и будут добавлены конфиденциальные транзакции.
На эту же тему Ли высказывался на конференции Money 2020. Он утверждал, что поступившие с замешанного в сомнительных операциях адреса биткоины являются источником рисков для их получателя.

Она является следствием анонимности протокола. Ли также утверждает, что прозрачность переводов в блокчейне являются подтверждением благонадежности пользователей. Это не способствует росту популярности ряда криптовалют.
Ли не уточнил, какая именно технология будет использоваться для внедрения конфиденциальных транзакций в Litecoin. Он заметил, что в проведении хардфорка необходимости нет. Работы планируется завершить до конца текущего года.
