Официально объявлено о приобретении 100 процентов акций криптовалютной биржи Coincheck финансовой компанией Monex Group. Сумма сделки составила 3,6 млрд йен (33,6 млн долларов). Цена приобретения рассчитывается на основе оценки чистых активов Coincheck на конец финансового года, заканчивающегося в марте 2018 года. Новое руководство биржи и корпоративные аудиторы будут назначены на внеочередном собрании биржи, которое пройдет 16 апреля 2018 года.
В планы Monex Group входит создание дочерней компании на основе биржи Coincheck. Создатели Coincheck Коитиро Вада (Koichiro Wada) и Юсуке Оцука (Yusuke Otsuka) уйдут со своих должностей генерального директора и директора Coincheck и останутся в качестве рядовых сотрудников. Криптовалютная биржа Coincheck подтвердила проведение сделки.
«Coincheck — глобальный пионер криптовалютного бизнеса, мировой бренд», — сказал на пресс-конференции генеральный директор Monex Оки Мацумото (Oki Matsumoto). В дальнейшем планируется провести первичное размещение акций Coincheck, что будет первым IPO в истории с участием компании, работающей на криптовалютном рынке.
