На компьютерной технике Главного управления полиции Польши (KGP) майнили криптовалюту, информирует Gazeta Wyborcza.
По информации издания, майнинг проводил гражданский ИТ-специалист ведомства.
На момент написания материала сотрудника уже уволили из организации. Вслед за ним последует еще один сотрудник.
Главное опасение – возможная утечка данных из сети правоохранителей в связи с незаконным майнингом. Но в полиции опровергли такую возможность.
«Майнер не был подключен к какой-либо базе данных, и дело в значительной степени касается кражи электроэнергии, которая потребляется при так называемом майнинге криптовалюты», — сообщил инспектор Мариуш Чарка.
По словам инспектора, дело передано в прокуратуру Варшавы.
Напомним, ранее мы писали, что в американском городе Массен в штате Нью-Йорк ввели 90-дневный мораторий на создание новых майнинг-центров с целью привлечения туристов.
