Очередную драму переживает следующая криптовалютная биржа. Расположенная в Южной Корее биржа Coinbin объявила о банкротстве, сообщает Block. Компания, ранее купившая взломанную биржу Youbit, проинформировала об убытках величиной 26 млн долларов (29,3 миллиарда корейских вон).
«Мы готовимся подать на банкротство по причине образования задолженности, вызванной растратой нашего сотрудника», – заявил на прошлой неделе генеральный директор Coinbin Пак Чан-кью (Park Chan-kyu).
Расчеты с клиентами банка будут производиться в соответствии с законами Кореи о банкротстве. Пак Чан-кью утверждает, что руководитель, отвечающий за управление криптовалютами, ранее занимавший должность генерального директора Youbit, превысил полномочия и присвоил средства компании.
По заявлению самого подозреваемого в растрате, он случайно удалил криптографические ключи для кошельков, содержащих сотни биткоинов, и потерял криптографический ключ к кошельку, содержащему более 100 монет эфириума в ноябре 2018 года.
Однако директор Coinbin утверждает, что средства были просто похищены. Следует отметить, что это уже второй эпизод за последнее время, когда в утере средств криптовалютной биржи виноваты не хакерские взломы, а непрофессиональные или злонамеренные действия сотрудников.
