В эту пятницу прошло совещание, на котором разработчики договорились относительно того, на каком блоке пройдет хардфорк Constantinople.
Активационной отметкой станет блок 7 080 000. До его выпуска пользователи, которые хотят поддержать обновление, должны обновить ПО.
Разработчик Ethereum-клиента Parity Афри Шедон полагает, что упомянутый блок добудут 14-18 января. До этого времени будут внедрены процедуры, которые необходимы для обновления ПО.
Изначально запуск Constantinople был намечен на ноябрь 2018 года
Обновление включает ряд исправлений и улучшений, в том числе перенос «бомбы сложности» на полтора года. Она разработана для того, чтобы принудить разработчиков проводить обновления своевременно. Награда для майнеров будет снижена с 3 до 2 ЕТН за блок.
Обсуждалось и обновление ProgPoW. Его внедрение обеспечит защиту сети от ASIC-оборудования. Окончательное решение о необходимости данной функции пока не принято.
Речь на совещании шла и об обновлении Ethereum 1x, активация которого запланирована на 2019 год. Работа над его внедрением недавно началась.
