Накануне активации технологии Taproot компания Blockstream начала разработку новой схемы по улучшению механизма мультиподписей при осуществлении BTC-транзакций.
По данным с записи в блоге Blockstream, новая схема MuSig2 будет миксом из преимуществ двух основных моделей мультиподписей, снизив технические сложности при создании транзакций, не нарушая приватность пользователей.

Авторами предложения выступили Ник Йонас и Тим Раффинг. По их словам, MuSig2 сохранит преимущества приватности MuSig1, но будет требовать всего два раунда взаимодействия между участниками транзакции.
В будущем новая схема поможет повысить приватность Lightning Network и улучшить так называемые пороговые подписи, которые часто используются биржами и кастодианами для хранения активов.
Напомним, предложение, включающее в себя подписи Шнорра и технологии Taproot и Tapscript, разработчики внедрили в исходный код клиента Bitcoin Core в октябре.
Сроки его активации остаются открытыми. В планах Blockstream заменить стандарт MuSig1 стандартом MuSig2 в библиотеке подписей Шнорра. Компания также дала понять, что может протестировать технологию Taproot в сайдчейне Liquid до того, как обновление активируют в основной сети Bitcoin.
