В отчете для SEC появилась информация о том, что в декабре бывший сотрудник платежной компании Block Джека Дорси скачал данные примерно 8,2 млн американских пользователей приложения Cash App.
Это нарушение правил безопасности Block (Square) обнаружила «недавно».
«Несмотря на то, что работник имел регулярный доступ к этим данным в рамках своих прошлых должностных обязанностей, в данном случае он был получен без разрешения после увольнения», — сказано в отчете.
Пакет информации о пользователях – это полные имена и номера брокерских счетов, а в некоторых случаях стоимость и структура портфелей. Данные не содержат логины, пароли, номера соцстрахования, адреса и другую личную информацию, заверили в Block.
Также компания обещает уведомить всех 8,2 млн бывших и действующих клиентов об этой ситуации. Исходя из квартального отчета, приложение насчитывает около 42 млн пользователей в США и Европы.
Вдобавок Block обратится в правоохранительные органы и уведомит регуляторов.
Вслед за информацией об утечке данных цена акций компании упала с уровня около $145 до примерно $125 — почти на 14%. На момент написания премаркет оценивает стоимость бумаг в $128.
