Полиция заявляет, что в апреле 2020 года подросток подделал сайт Love2Shop, продающий подарочные карты и ваучеры.
Таким образом он смог обмануть пользователей и украл ваучеры на сумму £6500 ($8900). После приобрел на эти средства биткоины.
Во время обыска были обнаружены 48 BTC и ряд других криптовалют, около 12 000 номеров кредитных карт и сведения о 197 счетах PayPal.
Подсудимым уже признана вину за отмывании денег и мошенничестве. Учитывая возраст, суд приговорил его к реабилитации сроком на 12 месяцев.
