Впервые в мире проекты первоначального предложения монет (ICO) могут получить официальное одобрение национального финансового регулятора. Произойдёт это в Таиланде, где к концу июня Комиссия по ценным бумагам и биржам Таиланда (SECT) выдаст разрешение на работу пяти ICO, сообщает Bangkok Post.
Директор по корпоративным финансам в департаменте SEC Таиланда Тавачай Китканкул (Thawatchai Kiatkwankul) отметил, что это будут пилотные проекты из 50 ICO, подавших заявку на получение разрешения. В заявлении представителя SECT также содержались основные критерии, по которым были выбраны пять первых стартапов:
«Проекты, которые могут быть [легко проверены] и имеют необходимые коммерческие атрибуты, будут рассматриваться для сбора средств».
SECT намеревается полностью удовлетворить потребности растущего рынка ICO. Для этого будет расширено существующее подразделение для регистрации первичных публичных размещений (IPO) и ICO войдет в его сферу компетенции.
14 мая в Таиланде вступил в силу королевский указ о регулировании криптовалютных бирж и сбора средств ICO. Контроль над новыми финансовыми рынками возлагается на SECT. При проведении ICO будет разрешена торговля токенами в парах с семью криптовалютами: биткоин, Bitcoin Cash, эфириум, Ethereum Classic, Ripple, Litecoin и Stellar.
Проекты ICO смогут привлечь индивидуальные инвестиции в размере 300 000 батов (около 9000 долларов США). Предложения от институциональных инвесторов могут иметь «…неограниченную сумму инвестиций».
