По мере снижения цены биткоина финансовый регулятор Англии наращивает контроль криптовалютных компаний, сообщает Telegraph. Управление по финансовому регулированию и надзору (FCA) по данным, полученным изданием в результате запроса на основании Закона о свободе информации, удвоило количество запросов на предприятия, работающие с криптовалютой.
В ответе FCA указывается, что регулятор направил запросы в 50 компаний, которые осуществляют работу на финансовом рынке без разрешений и при этом проводят операции с цифровыми активами. Кроме того в этом году FCA получило 7 отчетов от криптовалютных компаний. В прошлом году таких отчетов не было.
Партнер аудиторской компании Moore Stephens Эндрю Джейкобс прокомментировал сегодняшнюю ситуацию:
«Огромные суммы, потерянные в результате падения криптовалютных цен, вызовут вал жалоб в FCA. Теперь, когда цены рухнули, будут опрелюднены многочисленные факты мошенничества. Причем на FCA будет оказано повышенное давление, чтобы гарантировать прозрачную и справедливую работу рынка».
Напомним, в конце октября FCA заявило, что вопрос о запрете или разрешении на продажу производных финансовых инструментов, основанных на криптовалютах, будет поднят только в первом квартале следующего года.
