Ripple планирует разработать ряд продуктов в сфере децентрализованных финансов (DeFi). Ранее компания приобрела платформу Logos Network. Её команда занималась разработкой платёжных решений на базе блокчейна основной криптовалюты. Основной упор делался на производительности и масштабируемости сети. Сумма сделки не разглашается.
Ripple собирается создать форварды, фьючерсы, лендинговые решения и деривативы, используя токен XRP.
По словам старшего вице-президента инвестиционного подразделения Xpring Этана Берда, компания уже инвестировала в DeFi-компании (среди них Securitize и Dharma).
Ripple разрабатывает собственные решения
На данный момент Xpring выделила в качестве грантов либо инвестировала около $500 млн. Средства получили 20 компаний. Так, в августе платформа Coil, которая занимается монетизацией веб-контента, получила 1 млрд XRP ($260 млн по курсу на то время).
Ранее Ripple инвестировала $1,5 млн в провайдера криптовалютных банкоматов Coinme. Средства планируется направить на расширение сети в Европе, а также Южной и Центральной Америках.
Сейчас Coinme работает в 29 штатах. В будущем планируется получить лицензии и в остальных. Сеть, состоящая из более 2500 банкоматов, является крупнейшей в мире.
