Согласно информации, с 2019 года Sigma Chain AG и Merit Peak Ltd выступают в качестве маркет-мейкеров на Binance.US. По крайней мере на конец 2021 года их контролировал Чжао, отметили собеседники.
У регулятора есть запрос, как платформа раскрывала клиентам подобную аффилированность. Источники также сообщили об обеспокоенности юридического и комплаенс-подразделения Binance.US касательно происхождения средств Sigma Chain AG и Merit Peak Ltd.
В 2015 году SEC уже инициировала аналогичные расследования против торговых площадок, которые не раскрывали наличие аффилированных с ними маркет-мейкеров.
