В январе 2021 года планируется выпуск в «ограниченном формате» цифровой валюты от проекта Libra. Представители команды поделились этими планами с изданием Financial Times.
На данный момент известно, что стейблкоин не будет привязан к корзине из нескольких фиатных валют, как предполагалось изначальной концепцией. Напомним, что в апреле 2020 года Libra Association решила отойти от своих идей из-за требований со стороны регуляторов США и других стран.
В результате разработчики обновили white paper, заявив о намерениях создать несколько стейблкоинов, каждый из которых привяжут к различным фиатным валютам – доллару, евро, фунту.

Как сообщают источники FT, в январе планируется запуск монеты, стоимость которой будет обеспечена долларом США в соотношении 1:1.
Разрешение для этого дало Управление надзора за операциями финансового рынка Швейцарии (FINMA). На данный момент компания Libra Association никак не прокомментировала сообщение.
