Подразделение Sony Computer Science Laboratories (Sony CSL) собщило, что разработало технологию бесконтактного аппаратного цифрового кошелька на основе IC- карт (смарт-карт) корпорации Sony.
Преимущество нового кошелька, по словам разработчиков из исследовательского подразделения японской корпорации, в том, что, в отличие от стандартных, ему не нужно подключаться к главному устройству через USB-порт.
Кроме того, кошелек может генерировать и надежно хранить закрытый ключ в защищеном от несанкционированного доступа модуле в IC-карте, подчеркнуто в пресс-релизе.
Разработчики утверждают, что помимо хранения и транзакций криптовалюты кошелек можно будет использовать для других целей. Например, управлять закрытыми ключами для разрешения на использование персональной информации с использованием технологии блокчейн.
“Это инфраструктурная технология с несколькими возможными приложениями”, — говорится в заявлении.
О каких-либо планах развертывания готового изделия на основе разработанной технологии Sony Computer Science Laboratories не сообщила.
