Со стороны Минфина США поступило предложение расширить требования к отчетности брокеров в отношении криптовалют. Такая информация указана в комментариях к проекту бюджета на 2022 год.
Главный посыл от ведомства состоит в том, что с развитием рынка цифровых активов налогоплательщики получили возможность избегать уплаты налогов.
«Новая проблема – уход от уплаты налогов с использованием криптоактивов», — сообщили в Минфине.
Под эту инициативу подпадают биткоин-биржи и кастодиальные кошельки. Они должны передавать информацию о бенефициарах счетов в международную сеть по обмену информацией, членом которой являются США.
Если предложение примут – оно вступит в силу с 2023 года. Кроме этого Минфин выступил с инициативой ввести «всеобъемлющую отчетность по финансовым счетам». Правило будет применяться в случаях, когда налогоплательщики приобретают криптоактивы у одного брокера и переводят их другому.
До этого ведомство уточнило, что предложение администрации Джо Байдена включает требование о передаче в Налоговую службу США информации о криптовалютных транзакциях на сумму от $10 000.
