Сторонні розробники децентралізованих програм отримали можливість створювати форки протоколу Uniswap v3. Згідно з технічною документацією проекту, термін дії Business Source License (BSL) минув 1 квітня 2023 року.
BSL – це ліцензія на програмний код, яка обмежує його використання на певний період. У випадку з Uniswap, донедавна будь-хто мій безкоштовно копіювати ПЗ для некомерційних цілей, однак для створення комерційних продуктів необхідно було отримати дозвіл від ДАО.
З 1 квітня коду присвоєно загальну публічну ліцензію (відкрита ліцензія) і Uniswap Labs більше не має на нього ексклюзивних прав. Це означає, що розробники можуть вільно використовувати його для розгортання смарт-контрактів у доступних мережах.
У криптоспільноті зазначають, що це призведе до появи форків Uniswap у блокчейнах, де децентралізована біржа ще не представлена. До таких відносяться, наприклад, Tron та Avalanche.
Uniswap’s BUSL license expires today.
We’ll probably start seeing some v3 forks here and there. And probably airdrops too, like what happened with Solidly. BTW, Uniswap is not in FTM yet.
