Платежная система Visa 8 августа купила невзаимозаменяемый токен (NFT) CryptoPunk #7610 за 49,5 ETH — почти $150 000 по курсу на момент продажи.
В комментарии The Block глава отдела криптовалют компании Кай Шеффилд назвал коллекцию «исторической», а технологию NFT — будущим торговли и развлечений.
Также топ-менеджер поделился информацией, что Visa приобрела токен за фиат с помощью криптобанка Anchorage. По его словам, «это только начало».

«Команда уверена, что CryptoPunks прекрасно дополнят нашу коллекцию артефактов, по которым можно отследить прошлое, настоящее и будущее коммерции», — сказал Шеффилд.
По данным на сейчас, 23 августа только за час команда Larva Labs продала более 60 NFT из проекта CryptoPunks. Цена каждого токена превышает $200 000.
Для справки. Набор CryptoPunks из 10 000 NFT-изображений размером 24х24 пикселей выпустили в 2017 году. На старте многие невзаимозаменяемые токены проекта были распределены бесплатно.
