Сегодня, в пятницу 12 июля японская криптовалютная биржа Bitpoint приостановила работу своей платформы после выявления кражи около 3,5 миллиардов иен (32 миллиона долларов) в результате хакерского взлома, сообщает местное издание Mainichi.
Биржа, которой владеет Remixpoint Inc, заявила, что около 2,5 миллиардов иен из похищенных средств принадлежало клиентам, а остальная сумма (около 1 млрд иен) принадлежала собственно Bitpoint.
Сразу же после появившегося сообщения о взломе акции Remixpoint упали на 19% до дневного минимума, и по состоянию на 13:44 в Токио их торговля была приостановлена из-за избытка заказов на продажу.
Средства были украдены из горячего кошелька с пятью криптовалютами, среди которых были биткоин, XRP (Ripple) и Bitcoin Cash. Представители Bitpoint отметили, что не обнаружил потери средств из холодных кошельков.
Следует напомнить, что биржа Bitpoint была среди операторов криптовалюты, которым агентство финансовых услуг Японии (FSA) выдало предписание для улучшения внутреннего контроля после взлома Coincheck в 2018 году.
После сегодняшнего взлома повысилась вероятность ужесточения контроля регуляторов над системой безопасности бирж, что повлияет на выдачу новых лицензий для готовых выйти на рынок 110 новых криптовалютных компаний.
