Свыше 190 японских компаний проявили интерес к получению разрешения на работу с цифровыми активами, сообщило агентство финансовых услуг (FSA) в эксклюзивном интервью Bitcoin.com.
Главный финансовый регулятор Японии, известный своим достаточно жестким подходом к контролю криптовалютного рынка, сообщил следующее:
«Более 190 компаний заявили о намерении выйти на [криптовалютный] рынок. В это число входят как компании, подавшие официальные заявления на выдачу лицензий, так и фирмы, проводящие предварительные консультации».
Таким образом, после последнего объявления в августе 2018 года общее число компаний, проявивших интерес к цифровым активам выросло на 30 единиц. Осенью регулятор был вынужден увеличить команду, занятую проверкой и контролем криптовалютных фирм.
Согласно измененному в 2017 году Закону о платежных услугах, все операторы, работающие с цифровыми активами должны пройти процедуру получения лицензии в FSA. В настоящее время в очереди на получение разрешения на развитие криптовалютного бизнеса находятся корпорации Line, Yahoo! Japan, Samurai & J Partners и многие другие.
В Японии на сегодняшний день работает 16 официально зарегистрированных криптовалютных бирж. Три оператора (Coincheck, Lastroots, и Everybody’s Bitcoin) получили временное разрешение на работу, пока их заявки рассматриваются в FSA.
Напомним, после ряда взломов финансовый регулятор Японии начал регулярные проверки безопасности бирж, в ходе которых многие компании получили предписания с указанием мер по улучшению безопасности.
